cannot set up gmail account in outlook 2013

Last night outlook was receiving gmail fine, today it has stopped. Unable to receive gmail in outlook via pop. Many are confused and frustrated as to why they can’t send or receive emails anymore ( 1, 2, 3).

While Microsoft seems to have fixed the aforementioned problems, it looks like Outlook users are now unable to access Gmail. While the app is used by millions worldwide, issues such as users being unable to open encrypted emails and some not receiving notifications after iOS 15 update have negatively affected the overall user experience.
